The leadership of JSC «NC «Kazakhstan Temir Zholy» met with the governor of Sichuan province
The Chairman of the Board of JSC «NC «Kazakhstan Temir Zholy» Talgat Aldybergenov met with the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Governor of Sichuan Province Shi Xiaolin. During the negotiations, the parties discussed the possibilities of creating joint dry ports in Chengdu and on the territory of Kazakhstan, and also confirmed mutual interest in further expanding partnership in the field of transport and logistics cooperation.
The project is being implemented on the instructions of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, given following the visit of the Chairman of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping in June of the current year.
«The meeting confirms the mutual readiness of the parties to implement joint infrastructure initiatives and increase the volume of transportation between Kazakhstan and China,» noted T. Aldybergenov.
Special attention was paid to the development of agrarian logistics: issues of constructing specialized grain terminals and warehouse infrastructure to increase the export of Kazakh grain were discussed. Kazakhstan annually supplies about 8-9 million tons of grain crops to foreign markets, and the development of joint logistics projects will allow for a significant expansion of exports to China and Southeast Asian countries.
JSC «NC «KTZ» already has successful experience in interacting with Chinese partners, including projects in Lianyungang, Khorgos, and Xi’an, which have become important stages in the formation of sustainable cooperation.
