The 1,000,000th TEU is a result of the strategic transport partnership between Kazakhstan and Russia.
The ceremonial dispatch of the millionth container on the Russia-Kazakhstan-China route took place in Omsk. The event was held as part of the 22nd Kazakhstan-Russia Interregional Cooperation Forum, with the participation of the heads of state of the two countries.

Over the past seven years, the Russia-Kazakhstan-China route has become one of the key container corridors in Eurasia. Systematic infrastructure development and expansion of transit capacity have enabled a 27-fold increase in traffic volumes on this route since 2019, from 11,000 to 301,000 twenty-foot equivalent containers (TEUs) by 2025.
In accordance with the agreements reached between the heads of state, Kazakhstan and Russia are consistently developing their transport infrastructure and logistics potential, strengthening their positions on international transport routes in Eurasia.
