Negotiations between KTZ and Leading Logistics Companies of Sichuan Province and Chengdu City Took Place
As part of a working visit to the People’s Republic of China, the Chairman of the Board of JSC «NC «Kazakhstan Temir Zholy» Talgat Aldybergenov held negotiations with the management of Sichuan Port and Shipping Investment Group Co., Ltd. (SPSI) and Chengdu International Railway Port Investment & Development Co., Ltd. (CIPI).
With SPSI’s leadership, prospects for creating an international hub for interaction between Kazakhstan and Xinjin (Chengdu, PRC) were discussed, as well as projects for developing warehouse infrastructure, constructing grain terminals, and agro-hubs in Kazakhstan. The Chinese side presented digital solutions using artificial intelligence technologies for building transportation routes. During the visit, the KTZ delegation familiarized itself with the operations of the Yungang Xinjin Railway Logistics Park and SPSI’s grain terminal, which could become a key link in exporting Kazakh agricultural products to China and Southeast Asian countries.
With CIPI, opportunities for constructing a joint dry port in Chengdu and developing terminal infrastructure, including capacities for handling grain cargoes, were considered. The KTZ delegation also visited the CIPI International Multimodal Transportation Management Center, covering an area of 17.6 hectares. The complex includes over 150,000 square meters of modern warehouse facilities, including specialized temperature-controlled, customs, and chemical warehouses.
«Kazakhstan and China play a key role in developing transit transportation between Asia and Europe. The implementation of joint infrastructure projects will enhance the efficiency of transport corridors and expand international cooperation,» noted T. Aldybergenov.
