Visit of the Delegation of the People’s Republic of China, Led by Liang Zhenying, to the Zhetysu Terminal
On July 12, 2025, the Zhetysu container terminal hosted a high-level delegation from the People’s Republic of China. The visit was led by Mr. Liang Zhenying, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and Chairman of the GX Foundation, former Chief Executive of Hong Kong.
The purpose of the visit was to familiarize the delegation with the terminal’s infrastructure, its operational capabilities, and its strategic role in international logistics. The delegation was presented with information about the facility’s technical equipment, digital solutions applied in operational activities, and the terminal’s potential within the framework of the “One Belt, One Road” initiative.
During the visit, Mr. Liang Zhenying emphasized that logistics plays a key role in the development of international trade, especially in the context of a rapidly changing global market.
The parties discussed prospects for further expanding bilateral cooperation in the areas of transit transportation, process digitalization, and the development of modern logistics infrastructure.
