Grain transportation by rail from the Kostanay region increased by 20%
A field meeting of the grain headquarters of JSC «NC KTZ» was held in Kostanay, dedicated to the organization of transporting new harvest grain for export and within the country.
JSC «Kedentransservice» is a permanent member of the grain headquarters and actively participates in developing solutions to ensure stable transport logistics.
Over the marketing year (May 2024 – September 2025), 3.2 million tons of grain were loaded from the Kostanay region, a 20% increase compared to the previous period. Export shipments rose by 24%, reaching 2.4 million tons. Significant growth was also noted in feed transportation, with volumes increasing by 96% to 1.3 million tons, of which 1.2 million tons were exported.
Participants discussed issues related to ensuring the availability of rolling stock, expediting document processing, and compliance with veterinary and phytosanitary requirements. Special attention was given to cooperation with elevators to ensure seamless logistics.
Shippers were recommended to take joint measures to ensure timely grain delivery, reduce wagon downtime, and maintain stable supplies for both domestic and international markets.
