Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China Visits Zhetysu Container Terminal
On June 10, 2025, as part of a working visit, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Han Chunlin, visited the Zhetysu Container Terminal (Almaty).
During the visit, the Ambassador was acquainted with the terminal’s production infrastructure, operational processes, and logistics capabilities. Particular attention was given to issues related to transit potential, digitalization, and the integration of the facility into international transport corridors.
Following the visit, Ambassador Han Chunlin highly praised the operations of the Zhetysu Container Terminal, noting its strategic importance in strengthening logistics partnerships between Kazakhstan and China. He emphasized that the development of such infrastructure projects contributes to the alignment of the Belt and Road Initiative with Eurasian routes and the enhancement of regional economic connectivity.
“Zhetysu Container Terminal demonstrates a high level of organization and technological advancement, confirming Kazakhstan’s potential as a key transit hub,” the Ambassador stated.
The visit marked another step in the development of bilateral cooperation in the fields of logistics and infrastructure.
