JSC «Kedentransservice» and LLP «Fort» Successfully Conduct Direct Wheat Shipment from Kazakhstan to Vietnam Without Container Transshipment
From May to September 2025, JSC «Kedentransservice,» in collaboration with LLP «Fort» and with the participation of the shipper JSC «NC Prodcorporation,» organized the comprehensive transportation of 10 wheat trains from the northern regions of Kazakhstan.
The route ran from the stations of Ak-Kul, Azat, and Kokshetau through the Chinese port of Lianyungang to the port of Haiphong in Vietnam.
The total shipment volume amounted to 17,000 tons of grain.
A key feature of the project was that the transportation was carried out without changing containers at Chinese ports. Unlike the traditional practice of transshipping railway containers into maritime ones, the cargo traveled in a single container from the departure station to the destination port. This approach ensured:
— Preservation of high product quality,
— Reduced delivery times by eliminating transshipment operations,
— Optimized logistics costs.
JSC «Kedentransservice» views this project as an important step in enhancing Kazakhstan’s export potential. The experience demonstrates that Kazakhstan’s modern transport and logistics infrastructure effectively connects Central Asian regions with the dynamically growing markets of the Asia-Pacific region.
The successful implementation of this shipment opens new opportunities for expanding the supply of domestic agricultural products to Southeast Asian countries, where there is a steady increase in demand for grain crops.
